Join us on September 15, 2018 for a day of powerful stories of triumph and redemption as we combine worship with authentic speakers and break out session leaders to create an environment of healing and grace. The theme for this year’s icuTalks conference is “Sucker Punched.”
Gentry and Hadley Eddings
Gentry and Hadley Eddings were married May 23, 2009. On May 23, 2015 they were in a tragic car accident that took the lives of their two sons, Dobbs and Reed. Dobbs was two years old, and Hadley was 36 weeks pregnant with Reed during the accident. Their story is one of faith and hope in the midst of loss and tragedy. They now have twin boys, Isaiah and Amos, who were born on July 10, 2017.
John Mark Redwine
John Mark is the dreamer who spent every day staring out the window in school. He loves to laugh and rarely takes himself too seriously. He carries the vision for the church with a deep brokenness for people who don’t know Jesus. As Lead Pastor he keeps everything we do focused on the goal of bringing hope, grace, and Love to the city of Asheville. 7 years ago God broke his heart for the local church and called them to start a church. He spent that time pursuing a seminary degree, asking every question he could and reading every book he could get his hands on the subject. While praying together on a retreat John Mark and Rahel felt God calling them specifically to Asheville. John Mark and Rahel are overflowing with passion and excitement for what God is going to do in the city of Asheville!
I have been a Psychotherapist in private practice specializing in trauma, addiction, and life struggles for over 15 years. God took my years of experience as a psychotherapist and used them to give me a vision of creating a mental health ministry.
As a result, in January, 2014, I co-founded icuTalks — a speaking ministry that strives to provide a safe, vulnerable healing environment through authentic sharing of God’s redeeming love!
I have had the privilege of speaking at many venues including NPR, The Debra Kennedy show (tv), Columbia College, Christian Women of Lake Norman, Mosaic Church, Independence Hill Baptist Church, and Myers Park High School. In addition, I have been published in several magazines including My School Rocks, Static, Inspire, and Charlotte Woman. In 2017, I had the opportunity to be a TEDx speaker. You can view my talk here.
