Jerel is captivated by stories of redemption. He is living one of those stories out himself, after losing his wife of 15 years to cancer in 2011, and finding God to be with him even in the darkest of those days. He is a gifted communicator and pastor with over twenty years of full-time ministry experience. Jerel is the founding and lead pastor at Love Lake Norman in Cornelius. He holds his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go Tar Heels!), and a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is also a published author, having written four books in the tween action/adventure fiction series called Jonah Stone: Son of Angels, published by Thomas Nelson. He thinks that stuff is great, but he’s most excited about his relationship with Jesus and his three amazing kids. He lives with them in Huntersville.
